67 MAN UTD 1-0 SUNDERLAND: Wickham off Vergini on
66 MAN UTD 1-0 SUNDERLAND: Defoe off Graham on
66 MAN UTD 1-0 SUNDERLAND: Wow! What a few minutes! Falcao wins a penalty with a neat bit of skill to turn O'Shea, Wes Brown is sent off for something he didn't do, and Rooney scores from the spot after an eight-game drought.
65 MAN UTD 1-0 SUNDERLAND: Rooney scores the penalty! Drilling the ball low to the 'keeper's right
64 MAN UTD 0-0 SUNDERLAND: RED CARD! The ref has sent off Wes Brown - but it was O'Shea who made the foul! He's got the wrong man!

Lee Monks says: Have we signed Di Maria's twin? Or have we yet again ground the flair out of a top player? Doesn't warrant a place in the side. Shame we can't drop Van Gaal as well - it's never going to happen for him. Wrong philosophy, big games looming.
Marl says: looks like it could be swansea all over again all the possession with wrong result
Geoff in Saudi Arabia says: Awful! How on earth are we fourth in the table? If we can't beat the likes of Swansea and Sunderland easily, how can we expect to compete in Europe? Time players' salaries depended on results!

1 MAN UTD 0-0 SUNDERLAND: And we're underway...
Moments away from the first whistle now, and it will be Sunderland to kick-off...
The Sunderland players have emerged from the away dressing room and are now waiting in the tunnel...and here come Man United, led by skipper Wayne Rooney, who shares a handshake with former team-mates Wes Brown and John O'Shea.
Abdulrehman Hatimy says: Man Utd 5 - Sunderland 2
Ten minutes until kick-off. Can Man United move up into third? Can Sunderland pull away from the drop zone? Stick with us to find out!
Ross says: a decent line up from LVG. Rooney needs to prove he can be as effective upfront as he is in midfield, but with Young only coming back to fitness I can't understand why he starts in front of Mata, since we bought him Mata has been Man Utd's best player and hasn't started the last 4-5 games, soon enough he will get unhappy with the bit-part role considering he's done more than enough to stay in the team
Jonathan Quinn says: We've had problems for weeks trying to create real chances and the answer is sat on the bench....Juan Mata! That being said I'm going with 3-1 today...
Ayaan Handoo says: Good team selection by LVG. There's only one winner here, 4-0 to MUFC with Falcoa getting 2.
So let's just go over that team news again. Van Gaal has made five changes to the starting XI he sent out at Swansea, with Falcao replacing the injured Robin van Persie, plus Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia also coming in.Sunderland, meanwhile, make three changes to the side which drew 0-0 against West Brom. Patrick van Aanholt, Jordi Gomez and Connor Wickham replace Santiago Vergini, Ricardo Alvarez and Danny Graham.
Nick Woodford says: Oh no not 3-5-2!!! A rather predictable 2-0 win for UTD, entertainment will be at a minimum
Sunderland's win at Old Trafford last season was their only victory in their past 25 Premier League games against Manchester United (W1 D6 L18)
However, Poyet's side have just one league win in their last nine this term.
Most people seem to be leaning towards a United win today but remember Sunderland won 1-0 in this fixture last season, thanks to Sebastian Larsson's strike.
Lots of predictions coming in. Here's what Paul Merson said when he was asked how he saw Man Utd v Sunderland going: 'Sunderland are struggling badly at the moment and they cannot score goals, while Manchester United had a bad result last week at Swansea. However, while United have not been playing well recently, I still expect them to beat Sunderland 3-0.'
Robert Patrick says: After United's defeat to Swansea I think United will go out all guns blazing to a struggling Sunderland and I can only see one result which is a 4-1 United win
Jon McGrath says: Great to see Carrick back on the bench we have missed his ability to control the midfield, I predict 4-0, Rooney 2 & Falcao 2, that is if they make runs instead of being static
Graeme Reid says: 4-0 Man U win Falcao hat trick
James Webster says: I'm going for a Man U 3-1, with Rooney getting on the scoresheet! Hopefully might see some of the attacking flair that has been missing recently!
Justin Couzens says: I predict another 90 minutes of slow, frustrating football with Utd eventually prevailing 2-0. Will the real Radamel Falcao please stand up!
So there we are, today's teams are in. What do you make of Louis van Gaal's selection? And can Gus Poyet's XI cause an upset at Old Trafford?
