Sporting Life Preview

WITHY MILLS (NAP) only beat Home For Tea by half-a-length over course and distance earlier this month and the runner-up is a couple of pounds better off. But we'll take Kevin Bishop's charge to confirm the form and double his tally over fences as he's very much at home on the prevailing ground. Keychain has disappointed since beating multiple winner Jewellery at Sedgefield in September while The Rebel Panther has plenty to prove. But Devil's Dyke could be interesting if taking to fences and makes more appeal than Somechine, who has been off for a while, and Snowell.

Oddschecker Verdict

The abundance of tack deployed on his this group of novices doesn't instill much confidence, so DEVIL'S DYKE is given only a tentative vote. Evan Williams' inmate - sporting a new tongue-tie - returns from 160 days off the track, but has shown a liking for these underfoot conditions in the past and can improve for the switch to fencing. Recent C&D winner Withy Mills bids to reassert her dominance over the runner-up Home For Tea and looks a lively player at the foot of the weights, while a new visor might do the trick for Keychain, who scored at Sedgefield in September.

Prediction: 1st Devils Dyke, 2nd Withy Mills, 3rd Keychain
