Sporting Life Preview

Buster Brown has been returned a losing favourite on his last three starts and Mcbirney is equally frustrating having having failed to justify favouritism at Kempton on his last couple of outings. It could pay to stick with AUTOMOTIVE given he's been raised just 2lb for his recent course and distance win as this looks no tougher. Fair Ranger finished a bit closer last time and may figure off his current mark.

Oddschecker Verdict

Automotive is only 2lb higher than when notching over track and trip last time out and is unlikely to be far away at the finish. However, in an open race, preference is for BUSTER BROWN in the hope he's ready to fire on his return from a break. The selection has failed to justify favouritism on his last two runs but he didn't enjoy a clear passage here when last sighted in April and can be rated better than his finishing position. Young Dottie has dropped 10lb lower than her last winning all-weather mark and is also considered.

Prediction: 1st Buster Brown, 2nd Automotive, 3rd Young Dottie
